Satkosh by Serverstock
Cloud backup for servers and laptops
Satkosh is a cloud backup platform for Windows and Linux servers, desktops and laptops, developed by Serverstock. It backs up your machines on a schedule, encrypts data before it leaves the device and stores it in India or on storage you already own.
Pricing starts at ₹150 per laptop and ₹300 per server per month. Restores are free.

How it works
How Satkosh works
Setup takes a few minutes per machine. There is no appliance to install and no long onboarding project.
- 1
Install the agent
Copy the code from the Satkosh console and run the installer on each machine. It takes about five minutes per device, and no backup server is needed.
- 2
Set a backup policy
Choose the folders to back up, how often backups run and how long copies are kept. Apply the policy to one machine or to many.
- 3
Restore files or machines
Select a date, browse files as they were at that time and restore a single file or a full machine, including onto new hardware.
Coverage
Supported operating systems
Servers
Physical servers, virtual machines and cloud instances.
- Windows Server
- Ubuntu and Debian
- RHEL and Rocky Linux
- CentOS and AlmaLinux
Laptops and desktops
Backups run in the background and resume automatically when a laptop reconnects.
- Windows 10 and 11
- Linux desktops
- Open files are included in backups
In development: macOS support. Planned: Microsoft 365 backup for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
Storage
Choose where your backups are stored
Backups go directly from each machine to the storage you choose and do not pass through Serverstock servers. You can change storage later without starting again.
Security
Security features
Encryption on the device
Data is compressed and encrypted on each machine before it is uploaded.
Backup locking
Backups can be locked for a set period. During that time nobody can change or delete them, including Serverstock.
No access to your files
We store job details such as run times and data volumes. File contents and file names are never stored by us.
Protected restores
Restoring to a different machine requires a fresh sign-in, alerts your nominated contacts and is recorded in the audit log.
Email alerts
Failed, missed and offline backups are shown in the console and sent to you by email.
Data kept in India
Satkosh storage is located in Mumbai. If you use your own storage, backups stay wherever you keep them.

How much does Satkosh cost?
Pricing starts at ₹150 per laptop or desktop and ₹300 per server per month. Satkosh storage costs ₹1.8 per GB per month, and there is no storage charge if you use your own. Restores are free.
Is Satkosh available now?
Yes. Satkosh is running in production and we are onboarding businesses in small groups during the pilot phase so that each customer gets close support. Pilot customers are on month-to-month terms.
Do I need a backup server?
No. Each machine sends its backups directly to the storage you choose, so there is no extra hardware to buy or maintain.
Can I use my own storage?
Yes. You can use any S3-compatible bucket or a NAS in your office, and Satkosh does not charge for storage in that case. You can switch between your storage and Satkosh storage later without starting again.
Does Satkosh replace antivirus software?
No. Antivirus software helps stop threats, while Satkosh makes sure you can recover your data if something gets through. Locked backups cannot be encrypted or deleted by ransomware during the lock period.
