Cloud Engineer – AWS
Job Description:
Serverstock Datacenter Private Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cloud Support Engineer – AWS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS services and cloud computing technologies, and will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support for our AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Design and implement AWS cloud deployment tools and solutions. This includes logical system design, cloud architecture analysis, and systems engineering.
- Automation: Implement and automate the deployment of IaaS and PaaS services in AWS. Develop automation templates and other IaC solutions to automate the provisioning and maintenance of large-scale environments and configuration management.
- Cloud Strategy and Vision: Develop and implement cloud strategy and vision, enterprise cloud security, cloud solutions design and delivery, cloud migrations, infrastructure automation across a wide range of platforms.
- Security and Governance: Develop blueprints for a secure and adaptable multi-tenant cloud framework including custom governance, security, identity management, and operational controls.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Support various technology groups and be an inspiring leader in the adoption of cloud architectures for existing and new applications. Work with various application and infrastructure teams to improve their internal processes.
- Planning and Growth: Be responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure. Ensure necessary system security by designing and implementing best-in-class cloud solutions with Best Practices.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company. Recommend process and architecture improvements.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains. Help us enhance and expand our CI/CD process so devs can build, test, and deliver software safely and predictably.
Technical Requirements:
- AWS Services: Experience with AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, etc)
- CI/CD Tools: Experience using CI/CD tools (git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, AWS Code Pipeline, Nexus, Artifactory, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automation and Agile Development: Experience with modern automation, DevOps, and Agile development
- Networking: Networking fundamentals including VPNs, DNS, subnetting, route tables, firewalls, etc.
- Security and Monitoring: Understanding of AWS security and monitoring and experience implementing best practices. Experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools such as CloudWatch, Site24x7,Nagios.
- Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management (Chef / Ansible / Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Linux Administration: Highly proficient in Linux administration
- Coding / Scripting Languages: Experience with coding / scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby)
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master s is a plus
- AWS Active Certification is Mandatory
